Sim Cards

In more than 205 countries, cellular phone service providers use the GSM system utilizing a SIM card which fits into the phone. The SIM card is a removable small computer chip that is inserted into the phone and is typically located under the battery. Unfortunately, not all N. American service providers use the GSM system.

The advantage of GSM SIM cards is that they are not tied to your phone. They serve to store your address book and phone numbers and can be used in other unlocked GSM phones, transferring all your information to the phone being used.

We offer a selection of international SIM cards. We encourage you to purchase your SIM card prior to departure. This way, you will know (and be able to share with family & friends) the phone number you will have during your travels, while also allowing you to establish your Globaltext account before you leave.

It is important to ensure that your phone is compatible for usage in the countries you will visit and that you are able to reasonably rely upon it during your travels.

Contact us at info@globaltext.ca for further information on the International SIM cards and phones we offer and allow us to assist you in choosing the right SIM card prior to departure. Let us know which countries you will be visiting.
